William Greider, political journalist and National Affairs Correspondent for The Nation, says Paulson's proposal is a "historic swindle." Why? Greider writes that tax payers "are the naked investors in this drama, asked to put up many billions to rescue Wall Street firms with nothing more than a vague promise it will save the Republic."
