I am running for Mayor of Seattle because I believe that it is the Mayor's job to manage city departments with an eye toward efficiency, competence, and responsiveness. I believe that it is the Mayor's job to provide basic city services like street sweeping. I believe it is the Mayor's job to listen to the neighborhoods and include them in the decisions that affect them directly. I have a record of working with diverse groups of people to solve complex problems. My extensive background in management and community organizing is the kind of leadership our city needs.
