''Bush Facing Test of Leadership as Congress Returns from Summer Recess''

"Our nation is at a critical moment in our history. The lives of tens of thousands in the Gulf region have been forever changed, and the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina has sent shockwaves across our nation. With America facing so many important questions about the direction of our country, it's time for President Bush to do something that he has never done before: put genuine leadership ahead of partisanship and political calculations," said DNC Chairman Howard Dean. "Facing the largest natural disaster in American history, two Supreme Court vacancies, and continuing violence in Iraq, we need more than just a politician in the White House. With so much at stake, America needs a leader."-from the DNC.
