"OBAMA CAMPAIGN SUPPORTERS VISIT GAS STATIONS TO HIGHLIGHT OBAMA PLAN TO HELP MOTORISTS DEAL WITH HIGH PRICES"

Josh Field, (WA Communications Director, Obama for America):
Obama’s comprehensive energy plan will put struggling families ahead of big profits for the oil companies--SEATTLE, WA – Today, Obama supporters in Washington will talk to motorists across the State about Senator Barack Obama’s New Energy for America plan that will lessen our dependence on foreign oil, give American families an immediate energy rebate of $1000 to deal with soaring gas prices, and create five million new green jobs.
On Monday in Lansing, Michigan, Senator Obama delivered a speech on his New Energy in America plan. Campaign volunteers will hand out copies of Obama’s New Energy for America plan to Washingtonians who are paying as much as $4.50 per gallon to fill up their gas tank.

Please see details of the plan and Senator Obama’s speech at http://www.NewEnergyforAmerica.com.

“While John McCain has consistently chosen profits for the oil companies over energy relief for American families, Senator Obama’s New Energy for America Plan puts the people first,” said Obama spokesman Josh Field. “Senator Obama’s comprehensive energy plan will change the way the oil companies have dominated energy policy. His plan will help Washingtonians cope with the energy crisis in the short term and make the long-term investments we need to break our addiction to oil.”
