''News Coverage Before Election Week: Surprising or Predictable?''

"To research whether or not the news changed the week prior to the Washington State elections, this article focused on the three local News stations, KOMO, KING and KIRO at the 5:00 and the 11:00 o'clock time slot. The researchers started out their research wanting to focus on the then upcoming elections; however we soon found that the news focused little on the elections donating only less than 1% percent of the combined coverage to the elections. Even though it was the week before the election the amount of election coverage was modest."-from the article on Campaign Audit.org.
