As you might be aware Southwest Youth and Family Services (SWYFS) has its major fundraiser on September 16 - a breakfast and auction at Salty's. (www.swyfsbreakfast.com). This year our keynote speaker is Senator Tom Daschle. We are excited about this event, but have just learned that the Senator wants to do another event the night before, also to benefit SWYFS. This event, which will cost $500 per person, will give people an opportunity to meet with the Senator in a more intimate setting, a cocktail party at 7 p.m at a home on Queen Anne Hill.Howie P.S.: Tom's brother, Steve Daschle, is the Executive Director of SWYFS.
Of course, you are invited, but, now for the request - I'm wondering if you might give me some names and contact info for others who might be interested in attending. This will benefit an organization that provides important services to kids and families in our community. If you have any questions, please let me know.
Let me know if you want to attend - and if you have anyone you think might be interested in receiving an invitation. I look forward to hearing from you.P.S. -- Please feel free to forward this on...Many Thanks.Cheers!Cara Kroenke

I started posting on HowieinSeattle in 11/04, following progressive American politics in the spirit of Howard Dean's effort to "Take Our Country Back." I decided to follow my heart and posted on seattleforbarackobama from 2/07 to 11/08.--"Howie Martin is the Abe Linkin' of progressive Seattle."--Michael Hood.
