I was just walking down 12th Avenue, near Jefferson, eating a $2 banh mi sandwich from Saigon Deli. A 40-something woman, with long beautiful hair, comes walking up to me. She's smoking a joint. She asks me what I'm eating. I tell her "a tofu sandwich". Long pause. She says, "Can I have a bite?" I start laughing and give her the rest. She says, "Right on!" As I walk away, she yells, "Hey, next time try the chicken curry!"
God, I love the sun.
I started posting on HowieinSeattle in 11/04, following progressive American politics in the spirit of Howard Dean's effort to "Take Our Country Back." I decided to follow my heart and posted on seattleforbarackobama from 2/07 to 11/08.--"Howie Martin is the Abe Linkin' of progressive Seattle."--Michael Hood.
