TPM's Election Central has two posts that support this thesis, "In New Memo, Edwards Campaign Makes Most Extensive Case Yet For Electability" and another that links to David Yepsen's article in the Des Moines Register that begins with this sentence, "To some in American politics, John Edwards is toast."
