Dow Constantine got some high-profile help in his bid for County Executive during Monday night's Pearl Jam concert at KeyArena.
Seattlepi.com reporter Casey McNerthney was at the show and says during the band's second encore lead singer Eddie Vedder told the crowd that Krist Novoselic, the former Nirvana bassist and Constantine supporter, called him and urged him to vote for Constantine rather than Susan Hutchison in November.
Constantine, the County Council chairman, has the support of many people in Seattle's music scene. He was a DJ at KCMU when he attended the University of Washington and got to know people like Novoselic.
I started posting on HowieinSeattle in 11/04, following progressive American politics in the spirit of Howard Dean's effort to "Take Our Country Back." I decided to follow my heart and posted on seattleforbarackobama from 2/07 to 11/08.--"Howie Martin is the Abe Linkin' of progressive Seattle."--Michael Hood.
