Former Reagan Navy Secretary, freshly elected Senator Jim Webb (VA-D) will be delivering the Democratic response to President Bush's State of the Union speech, a congressional newspaper reports.
Congressional Democratic leaders are expected to announce that freshman Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va.) will deliver the official response to President Bush's State of the Union address next Tuesday," Erin P. Billings reports for Roll Call.
Roll Call adds that the Vietnam veteran also has a son "fighting in Iraq," and "will help the Democrats counter Bush's recent call to increase troop levels in Iraq and continue the conflict.

Right on! Jim Webb is a fighter - let's hope he reminds the American people just why they voted for us damn liberals:
